Poem about the void of a broken heart
I stare at the pictures upon the wall
Memories of past days.
Oh that life were black and white
But I find myself stuck in the grays.

In silence I scream
But don't make a sound
I find myself lost
No hope to be found

Trying franticly to pick up the pieces
Of a love that's gone wrong
Pieces of a broken man
Pieces of a broken song

In the Nothingness I make my bed
As I lay me down to sleep
In the ashes of loves flame long spent
I've no more tears to weep.

I rage against the darkness
I've dangled to long at the end of this rope
I fight against my better judgement
To just give up on hope

There's a part of me that would like nothing better
Than to give up and let you win
But I'm tired of living
In the nothingness within.
