An Odd Collection

Basketballs and tangerines
and pumpkins -
they all have something in common.

So do carrots and cheetos-
even though one is good for you
and one is not.

Ernie from Sesame Street
and Nemo from Finding Nemo
are different, yet similar.
As are Garfield the cat and Tigger,
Winnie the Pooh's bouncy pal.

Cantaloupes and traffic cones
are related to doritos.
And New York Avenue in Monopoly
may not be where President Trump lives,
but he's connected, too.

Beeker the Muppet goes "Meep!"
and sweet potato fries are yum,
but that's all besides the point,
because they're also associated
with each other.

Animal the Muppet may not have seen
Calvin's friend Hobbes before,
but they're now acquaintances,
and munching on cheddar cheese -
the color of which, I would have to say,
is the sum of red and yellow.

Just like everything (and everyone)
else I've listed in this poem!
