A poem about how a cabin lands
At the beginning my once-deepest self told me I was being erased

That it would be forever said, "Nothing had been real."

That I was being be scraped away with sharp blades

That now there were only ashes and even those we being swept away

I heard the sound of rejection, of being vomited out.

My now-deepest self argued back, and read on

Straining, it heard that it was not only age that worked a change

But a pillar too

A horrifying perfect change

And that sound

It was sound of a single heartbeat

In two people

Forever

Which is also the answer
