Just being ... with lizards
Lizard in the Sun

Lizard in the sun
metallic and smooth,
belly on the bricks
soaking up the warmth.
Perfectly still, you and I,
together in the sun.

Dear Lizard in the sun,
you rouse in me
memories of childhood
of lizards on the slates.
Undisturbed, we dreamed,
together in the sun.
