Poem about a "gift" of coffee grounds
The Gift

She opened the gift to find coffee grounds inside
Her face turned bright red,
She ranted and cried.

Who that she knew would have done such a thing.
This Christmas gift
No one ever should bring.

She already knew it would ruin her day.
Then she stopped to think,
Why get upset this way?

Could have been a "gift" that would be much less bright.
Says the IRS
Your taxes aren't right!

Or a nice greeting card from her "friends" at the bank.
We're taking your car.
Your account's in the tank!

A curt lab report for the test that she had..
Call your doctor quick,
Your results came back bad!

On her grade report that was due right away.
You got an F,
Have a nice day.

Then she decided to say with a laugh,
"I like coffee grounds,
I just hope they're decaf."
