about pregnancy, and the feelings of joy
Little Mushy Pea
We haven't met yet,
You don't know me.
And I don't know you.
You're the acorn growing inside of me
you're making sure that I know
Your arms and feet I feel upon my ribs and stomach
My heart grows and pumps whilst you sit upon it

Climbing around and stretching out, I feel you
I can't help it that I cry sometimes, it's not untrue
I'm so happy I feel sad, and then you kick me alive
This amazing connection we have inside.
How lucky this feeling is, you moving and wriggling
Your hiccups and sometime sharp kicks,

I know you sleep on your side,
And you like the 80's tunes,
I sometimes get anxious and daren't move
To know every day your making it here, amazes me
You're getting to a size where we can cuddle and squeeze

Cos I'm a tactile mum
I hope I get to know you
And you get to know us
Your family awaits you
Our little mushy pea
Who moves inside of me

Thank you for reading.
