First attempt at Villanelle format. Sometimes we really don't want to hear the answer.

Silent, I listen. Alas, I do fear.
So much frustration! You pour out your soul.
The answers you seek, you won't want to hear.

The story unfolds, and so much unclear.
I can't help but ponder. What was your role?
Silent, I listen. Alas, I do fear.

A glimmer of insight, a flash so mere,
a refusal to see. What is the toll?
The answers you seek, you won't want to hear.

Issues have festered for many a year.
It's time to let go. That should be the goal.
Silent, I listen. Alas, I do fear.

The reasons they gave are met with your sneer.
At last understanding, I see the whole.
The answers you seek, you won't want to hear.

No understanding of loved ones so dear.
It is only blame that you want to dole.
Silent, I listen. Alas, I do fear.
The answers you seek, you won't want to hear.
