In proper society,
bright and fun people are preferred
over yellow, sickly and sad ones.

A glum peer is no fun chum,
while a chipper peer is much favored.
The "high and mighty" aren't so great
when all they do is stick up their nose.

Yet, one down in the dumps
isn't too great either, if all your time
is spent cheering them up.

So the secret, here, is the middle way.

As the philosophy says,
we should take the "middle path"
and all will be balanced in life.

Not too high.

Not too low.

Just right.
