Entry for Writer's Cramp. Short poem, about the regret of giving up on someone you love.
In this life and all the others,
But one thing I do regret;
It was in the darkest hour,
That I left you while you slept.

When i rose up from my slumber
I saw you smiling in your dreams.
While mine were filled with thunder,
I felt jealous of your gleam

It was then and there I knew,
I had to get out while I could.
Before the post arrived, I flew,
Without goodbye, the way I should.

Now I wallow on my own,
Try to feel the shape of water.
I seek the scent of your cologne,
But all that’s left is fleeting matter.

All the money in the world
Won’t make up for missing you,
And so I write these words untold;
I, Tonya, still love you.
