Poem About Spring
This poem is a 21 line Haiku Chain
Written for
"Verdant Poetry Contest - On Hiatus

No More We Slumber

Nudging, breaking ground
Lies no future in the past
Stubborn moon pursuit

Persistent flower
daffodil rejuvenates
Easter horizon

Fuzzy chicks enchant
New life's overture to time
Generation birth

Lambs frolic the fields
Bunnies hop through meadows green;
Inscrutable cows

Butterflies imbibe
Floral nectar, drink of choice
Light nights permeate

No more we slumber
some call it hibernation
Awake one sunrise

Kiss winter goodbye
wave seasons through a whisper
a basset hound snores...
