The breaking of peace.
The singing of birds.
The burning rays of light.
The winds calling my name.
Children’s laughter.
This field of peace.
Happiness.
Hope.
Perhaps too much.
I lay in the field
Staring up at the clouds
Envisioning life elsewhere.
….
I awoke near a lake.
I was somewhere new.
Somewhere darker.
Somewhere dead.
I walk towards the bank
Expecting something to come out.
“Hello?”
That was the only word I could speak,
For I had been dragged down under.
I struggle to break free
But it was no use.
This being was far too powerful
And had taken me to the bottom
Where I came face to face with Him.
He is pain.
Agony.
Destruction.
Death.
I smile, for I had been waiting all my life for the peace to break.
This was my fate.
The Red Lake brought me home,
For what is life without darkness?
