When animals are resurrected, will they change and be given new bodies, too?
My coworker and I were sitting in the break-room when we struck up a conversation about religion. He is LDS and although many of his beliefs are strange to me, we agree on a few. Even in areas apart from religion we have things in common. We both prefer dogs over cats, for example. So, I asked him, "When we resurrect, we will be given new and perfect bodies, right?"

"Of course," he replies. We take our faith very seriously, and not to brag or anything but I have pretty sharp debating skills, so he puts down his roast beef sandwich to engage in what he knows will be a conversation requiring his full attention.

"Well, what about animals? Do they resurrect into new bodies?" It is a question that has been on my mind for some time.

He replies with a quote from Joseph Smith, a wordy one I cannot now recall, but the gist of it was simple, "Yes, they do. They will have perfect bodies."

"So then," I say, with a smile on my face, "cats will become dogs?"

I haven't made him laugh so hard before or since. I think he wanted to agree with me, but he just laughed and laughed.
