An older person connects with another younger person, again by a broken heart.
She just broke up,

She tried to be courageous,

but her heart was shattered,

for the first time perhaps.

One day on top of the world,

the next day hitting the iceberg.

Even tough little ballplayers

can have their dreams dashed.

But hang in there,

have a good cry

and try again.

It'll get better.

And you'll have him still around,

So will he.

You'll visit him and haunt him

the missed opportunity

late at night.

How do I know?

I don't know.

I'm a little older

I guess.

I'll have a Gatorade,

but those three cute girls

in the retro clothes

standing behind me?

Nothing for them.

They're phantoms

and they're with me.
