This is a song I wrote a while back
Once there was a boy
He was damaged from the start
He was born without a heart
And he found comfort in the dark

Once there was a girl
She’s been broken since her birth
She never learned of her own worth
And she’s been lied to everyday by boys who found out about her curse

And they sang
Oh!
I had a vivid dream
That I met someone just like me
Except their eyes were full of water
And they were drifting in the sea
They sank
To the ocean floor
And opened up a door
The oceans drained the skies collapsed
And then we were no more.

Once there was a town
Who cut down all their trees
To build homes for those in need
But the air grew thin and all the people fell gasping to their knees

And they sang
Oh!
I had a vivid dream.
That I met someone just like me
Except their eyes were full of water
And they were drifting in the sea
They sank
To the ocean floor
And opened up a door
The oceans drained the skies collapsed
And then we were no more.

Once there was a boy
Who was damaged from the start.
He exists without a heart.
And he finds comfort in the dark.
