Isn’t this just a dream?
Am I facing my fears?
Can I hide from these tears?
Why weren’t you there when I needed you most?
Through the loss & through the pain,
I still fight so desperately to find the sun shining through the rain.
Grasping at the surface, struggling to breathe, only knowing it’s surely out of reach.
Sobbing, crying, can’t you hear my screams?
Why haven’t I awoken, isn’t this a dream?
