Such beauty cannot stay for long
Vibrant

Crocus are the first to come
from their hideout in the snow,
bathing in the warm spring rains,
they do not wish to go.

Vibrant is the color of
the yellow daffodil,
as it warms it's sunlit petals
beneath my windowsill.

The crocus and the primrose
have spread their wings to play,
while the tulips and the lilies
shall wait another day.

Schedules are not set in stone
for nature reins supreme.
They seem to open up for us
like surrealistic dreams.

Such beauty cannot stay for long
and like a fire's flame,
it vanishes before our eyes
to the place from whence it came.
