About a friend whose attention is no longer on me but on their lover...
It's too bad that I can't talk
to you anymore.
I can't talk to anyone.
I would try to be nice,
I'd try to provoke a conversation,
but you would avoid my eyes.
You've begin to avoid my presence too.
You been glancing over me,
Which is fine.
I don't mind a lack of attention.
But you are my friend,
and the attention of a friend
is what keeps me going.
I'm guessing you don't care anymore.
As long as you have her,
you don't care.
Please continue what you are doing my friend.
I just want you to be happy.
And if you need to put me out to be happy,
please do so.
