it soothes.
sitting alone at 3 a.m. in the bus shelter listening to the rain crash down into the glass roof and the concrete of the ground, the smell of wet grass tingles my septum piercing as i watch the cars speed by, seeing the mild fog display itself around the street lights that flicker.
i listen to my crappy music through barley workable headphones and breathing in the brisk air that cools my throat.
this is my own self care.
some people spend hundred of dollars at a spa.
some people paint.
some people write music.
some people study.
which is all fine.
but for me.
no.
my self care is simple.
the outdoors, seeing the occasional animal go by on it free will, calm music, and soft clothes.
because when life becomes too much, too stressful and too dark.
going outside and just breathing, clears it all away
