We can see you...
Hear my words, o soul beware

Look upon me, if you dare.

Do you feel the hair stand up on your arm?

Feel a cold draft surround you, even when it is warm?

Feel uneasy, all the way to the bone?

Feel someone watching you, even when you're alone?

You try explaining away what you feel,

You try ignoring your senses, thinking they are not real.

While you try to believe that I don't exist

Think of this, friend, before you resist:

I closed my eyes and drew my last breath

But I returned to this earth after my death.

Now I am cold, and I am alone

Watching people pass by my stone.

Nobody hears me, nobody can see,

And nobody thinks they could one day be me.

So remember this as you pass me by

As you are now, so once was I

But as I am now, someday you may be...

Turn around, dear soul...

Can you see me?
