what she did to me
you
took
the walls
that i built
not to protect myself
no
the walls around us
keeping us safe
keeping us happy
and tore them down
piece
by
piece
-didn’t you love me?

i bet you told
the both of us
the exact same sweet
words that i thought
were just for me
i was so foolish
for trying to believe
i meant something to
y
o
u
-only fools

what was i thinking
when your lips
and your teeth
crashed into mine
pulled on mine
broke skin on mine?
what was i thinking?
-you were home

i was whole
i was content
i was happy
and you just had to ruin me,
didn’t you?
-thanks for the help
