Heart, Soul, and Mind

The surface round my heart is calm
Smooth as glass
It sparkles under the sun
While hiding secrets in the deep

I escape onto that lonely isle of my soul
Where craggy rocks
And desolate sands
Bury my hopes and dreams

A ray of light pierces
the dark clouds of my mind
and points to
glorious solitude
