A short poem
My newly met friend told me her story while the train was waiting for the signal to clear:
"It has been a long gap.
I created this distance
So that I would be free.
I realize that a legal separation is a must and hence I rang up a lawyer
and asked to proceed with my case.
After a week she told me the contact address and phone numbers have changed.
A huge world.. Where to search for him? How to search? That too the search would be to tell him that I am no more yours .
You have ignored and neglected the woman in me for so long.
You have ignored and neglected the mother in me for long.
So a parting is necessary.
But why do you still play hide and seek? "
She stared at me indifferently
while I wondered if her husband would still be alive or not. The signal cleared and train moved on and when my station approached I
left the story teller with her incomplete story.
Is not life full of such incomplete stories?
