A poem of heart break and dreams that will never be.
You sip on your coffee
and I sip on my wine.
Listening to songs
from good old seventy nine.

Your coffee is in a wine glass,
and my wine is in a tea cup.
It might be too late
It might be too soon.

But can this leftover happiness last
a little while longer?

Because the sun is going down,
and our vanilla scented candles
are dying now.

By the time you finish your coffee,
you will leave me alone to die.
And I will continue on with life,
with no tears left to cry,

But still having to just keep alive
and moving.
