Some overflow thoughts from Tangerine Fields
Rain Dance [Festival, Part II]

Dance between the raindrops
Dance beneath the rain
Where warmer heat starts, beats stop
A cooler, damp refrain

Between such sheets, a storm breaks
Beneath a canvas sprung
Poles and pegs and ground stakes
Saved by late bells rung

In the heat strung, peeling
Swinging with the beats
Drained, dripping from the ceiling
Strained, swaying... in retreat

Soaking in the rainfall
An oh so brief respite
From the heat of humdrum role calls
Punctuated 'tween hot nights

Nights camped out in coldness
Free of daylight's heat
With memories of boldness
Lost in time replete

Sensing where the hearts stop,
and souls start, spliced in twain
We dance between the raindrops
… we dance beneath the rain
