Written in light of discovering an elusive memory loss syndrome.
You’d tell me,
Would you not?

If I asked you where we were
When we stood on a cliff
Admiring the sunset?
What I’d said when you asked me
Not to be afraid?
What I did to keep you
Right here, everyday?

What did you get for Christmas
Last year? The year before?
What was that song that I love
To dance to, to sing along to?

What - oh what did you feel,
When I kissed your face?
When I touched your cheek?
When I held your hand
Throughout the night?

What did you say to me?

Did I say yes?
I think I did.

You’d tell me, right?
If I forgot us?
