This poem is based on the Vietnam War the consequences of our fear of communism.
This war was not our call.
It made the country fall.
For all of those American lives lost.
We had lost our soul in Nam.
All because we didn't know who to trust.

This war made the people rebel.
For their reasons strong and clear.
WIth the evidence locked away.
Until they were leaked by Mr. Ellsberg.
Who showed what we did to the people.

That this nation really died at birth.
For our sons were sent to the fight.
Only to come back in a ominous light.
As their PTSD clicked in, the people spit on them.
For the cost of sanity, was the price they were condemned.

For our soldiers that had lost their lives, for that is the cost of war... when we go in after a obscure vision.
