forget about the money and the politics, and can we just be a little more human
They may believe things you can never get your head around
And you may live different lives, but I tell you this:
If I was to cut your skin and then cut theirs, you’d both bleed.

If I was to execute your children and then theirs, you’d both grieve.
If you were to be flung into a war where the people who should protect you
Turn their guns on you, you’d both panic and fear for your safety and you’d both seek assistance - not as a business deal, not as a favour or as a political pawn - but as a bloody human!

How many more wars? How many more innocent deaths? How much more bloodshed till you realise that we are all the same? Till you realise we are one? Till you realise we will be equals one day if not now and that the colour of your skin or the mettle of your sex or the cultures you subscribe to are in no way a measure of your worth - an indicator of whether you will be treated as a human. All flowers need the light - not just the ones that look pleasing.
