A humorous poem about a hungry turtle.
My turtle ate my hand today,
He seemed to like it too-
He snacked on fingers yesterday,
He said that five’s too few.

Tomorrow he will chomp a foot
And lick the bones with relish-
He’ll look at me and ask for more
And act as if I’m selfish.

I’d really like to feed him
But I’m running out of parts-
Do you have some to spare for me
Like livers, lungs, or hearts?

My turtle isn’t picky
And his appetite is small-
I’m sure he’d love some day-old bits;
If meat, he’ll take it all!
