A quick and somewhat experimental poem about pining for better times. Placeholder title.
If I could choose
A dream to dream,
I'd pick one full
Of bright sunbeams.

A soft spring day,
A cooling breeze.
A quiet place
I feel at ease.

Your warm embrace,
A gentle touch.
A sweet mem'ry
I love so much.

I'd hope this scene
Would never end.
With you my days
I'd gladly spend-

But you're not here.
I close my eyes.
Can't help but dream
Through all these lies.

Though I hold fast,
Once I awake,
I know my heart
Will surely break.
