A poem about not knowing where you fit & failing to be as "perfect" as people expect.
Another day of longing
and yet another broken heart.

Never knowing who you truly are,
but knowing who you're
expected to be.

Yet always failing to
meet insurmountable expectations.

Like knowing the goal,
but having no clue how to reach it.

Just idly wandering,
searching for a purpose in this
mundane world.

Praying for just one spark
from a book of used matches.

Constantly seeking something
never to be found.

Such a sorrowful thing,
to never know where you
belong.
