Desire burns brightest in the dark
Firefly

For the girl who burns the candle
Wicks burning at both ends
So much more than you could handle
Waxing as the fire rends

She flits around the corners
Impossible to grasp
On buttered wings she saunters
So slippery's the task

Traipsing round dusk's meadows
With safety nets and jars
Ignoring where the head goes
With the fluttering of hearts

… and even if she could be
Contained by such staid things
You would lose the things you should see
The joy such chaos brings

The burning of such candles
From both ends of the wick
Much more than you could handle
… yet still the one you'd pick
