Some storms should be danced in...
Storm Front

When waves mass too large and wash over
… the little things give you away
How I wish I could somehow just show her,
the goods stored inside on display

Stored out of reach for good reason,
left hidden in over thought rhymes
Hearts wander 'cross lines with such treason,
disregarding such over wrought minds

A mind overthinking an outcome,
through a glass funnelled, darkly upset
Unable to see that just parts of the sum,
lead too often to portent regrets

When sometimes such storms should be danced in,
even when logic does fly,
in the face of the places we've chanced in,
and danced through the storms strong... alive

and yet still, there are moments I see her
Swelling large on horizons unbound
Dwelling large where I thought I could leave her
Whilst I'm washed up in debris unfound

… and just when I think it's subsided,
that old tempest rises inside
Like a squatter that's always resided,
from such storms, one can not simply hide

How I wish I could just, somehow show her,
goods guarded inside on display
But when waves mass too large and wash over,
… the little things give you away
