Yearly family fun.
Tis the first of December
we always remember
appointed long ago
the day we bestow
a glittery new look
to our little nook.
Red and green bows
lovingly chose.
Garlands draped on the hedge
candles for the window ledge,
our home will shine bright
and be filled with light!
We include a worn manger
so there is no danger
of forgetting the reason
for this glorious season.

As the kids grow older
their ideas become bolder.
Santa waves from the roof
a symbol of proof
for the youngsters around
showing fun is abound.
Love grows strong each year
we have no fear
of showing our cheer.
We hope for snow
but still know
no matter the weather
when we're all together
there is no other place
filled with such grace.
