Fairy tale poem of some mettle
Serving the First Lady

Warmed in the oven she was Gretel
But the heat was so much she would not settle
As the new witch she leapt out without hurt
A convert she puts the old in the dirt





Inspired by Hansel and Gretel, written by the Brothers Grimm
