taking a Lesson of life from its greatest teacher.....mother nature
Stars Shine through the darkened sky
to shed the light from passer's by
the grass below to them bestow
a tear of fallen ages

trampled on throughout the day
by children who come out to play
they bare the pain
of earths restrain
a life in which they hated

green with envy for the day
thoughts and dreams were put to play
to live their life without the strife
that they themselves created

for when winds blew
they chose to root
wherever they had landed
instead of waiting for the gust
that wouldn't leave them stranded

we in turn are like the grass
who stand alone for ages past
to bend and sway whatever way
the wind decides to bade us

we let ourselves be trampled down
and take it all without a sound
to let it build until it's spilled
and our own mistakes enrage us

so let this be a lesson learned
we in this life get what we earn
so please take heed and plant your seed
don't let the wind invade it.
