Losing a friend is the most painful thing.
You use to be the person I ran and I was the same for you.
But, now we walk past each other as if we never spoke a word.
It was a battle. Choosing rather to stick with you or walk away.
We let distance create a barrier between our souls.I use to believe that friendships could only last if I wanted it. But, that mindset has shifted. Friendships only last if there is effort. Show me effort. Show me that our friendship is what you claim it is. I drove myself to the edge trying to fix the pieces that weren’t fixable. I wish things did turn differently, but all things happen for a reason. Right?
