Take what you will from it. After all art is perceived from the reader.
I walk along the beach of broken waves.
Grabbing and taking at the land in frothy admissions.
Many grains of sand and hiding inhabitants
Take its ride into the undertow with submissions.
Some too stubborn or too aged to leave
Hold on to it’s foundations without a budge.
Gleefully playing its game of “Marco Polo”
As the ocean takes no concern.
The crashing comes and goes knowing it’ll win.
The constant battering will wear the rest down
Gradually engulfing all that belongs to the
Salty suffocation of it’s throbbing appetite.
It’s infinite and relentless need will always prevail.
Too many have underestimated its need for companionship.
It’s actually an obsession to not be lonely.
You would think that it’s body being so large
Could not have an emotion of sadness.
But, on the contrary, too much choice lends belief of tremendous amounts of paranoia.
Similar to a person of wealth trying figure out
Who is the true friends and the ones who just love the glitter that shines off the money.
So the ocean takes at will without remorse or truly knowing what is good or bad.
It’s an infinite child learning it’s way through ever changing emotional currents.
Lending only one piece of knowledge that is
Understanding that change is constant is the only way to truly feel that you are in control of the uncontrollable.
