This poem is about my neighbor Gayle who died of pancreatic cancer. Los Angeles CA.
The Vine Upon The Wall

You are the neighbor for whom I share
As years go by without disguise
Over the wall that echoes our words
Grows a vine upon the wall

Its knots so tight not to let go
Yet it grows, the vine upon the wall
But not too still to stop the breathe flow
Through empty spaces where it goes
Warm its delicate veins, and so, to let
Life unmask the secrets it holds
The vine upon the wall

Tales will tell those who come and go
The story of the vine upon the wall
For reasons unknown they will let it grow
As if to know its special power
They will sense immortal souls of
Angels who guard what they create
That vine upon the wall

Humming Birds sing
Of love and joy
It is the beauty of life itself
Those Angels bring
The vine upon the wall
