Going home , dealing with the emotion
HOME

Awkwardly, I stand
in my safest of places.
Arms hanging uselessly,
eyes searching the faces.

For a spark of hello,
a remember me when,
Let's take each other back
to how we felt then.

Because home isn't here
like I thought it would be.
So, I'm left floundering
in a turbulent sea.

Of stormy emotions
tarnishing my crown,
Watching and waiting,
to see if I'll drown.

But, I don't want to leave you
thinking me too damaged.
So, silently I remain;
my wound bound and bandaged.
