Life's simplest, most natural gifts invigorate the most spiceless times of our lives.
Tulip Border

In the Winter never ending,
In the Spring as yet unseen,
From the tulip border mending,
Poked a tender shoot of green.

Day by day we watched it growing,
And our interest knew no bounds,
For our gloomy moods were slowing,
As it inched above the ground.

Hearts which had been low and hardened,
Lighten with the Spring again,
Robins hop now in the garden,
Mornings bring a gentle rain.

Hope, you are a yellow flower,
Open on this April morn,
Curious how emotion's power,
Comes from one so newly born.

Hope, you are a slender fellow,
A gust might carry you away,
We see you in a flower yellow,
Find you where we dare and may.

Lord,
Thank you for life's window dressings,
Which make our world a hopeful place;
For these and all your many blessings,
We thank you for your gentle grace.
