a poem about infatuation
Fixated

I know it all seems real.
I know it seems all you need.
But it can’t be.
Because all you need is me.

I know it seems dreamy.
I know it comes in a rush.
But it can’t be.
Because it feels like too much.

It seems I need testing.
Something to prove I believe.
But it can’t be.
You scream and walk away from me.

Be careful what you wish for.
Even baby’s dreams come true.
Words you speak that have no meaning,
May have more meaning than you.
