How I felt that night
I took a walk down an alley to help clear my head
Looking for peace, finding memories instead
Some broken glass made me think of my heart
The way you've bruised it ripped it and torn it apart
A painted garage all covered in words
All the names that you've called me while with other girls
A rat hits a puddle while running to hide
Water droplets remind me of all the tears that I've cried
Like the empty lot where a home used to live
I'm broke and hurt with no love left to give
As I turn to go back to the nothing I have left
The pain hits so hard that I can't catch my breath
Shadows rise up as the sun starts to fall
And realization sinks in you never loved me at all
