Because fairytales aren't politically correct - a minute poem for Once Upon A Contest.
Pea-ed Off

The pretty princess couldn't sleep.
It made her weep.
Her back was sore,
hard to ignore.

A pea was hidden in her bed,
as hard as lead.
She never dreamed
the queen had schemed.

The prince was happy when she wept
and her he kept,
because he knew
her blood was blue.
