Watching dawn from the beach
Seagulls circle above
In the wide, open sky
As the sea breeze whispers
Through the grapes of wrath

It is night no longer
But now bright dawn
For as surely as the sun sets
The sun also rises

On this side of paradise
The rising sun casts
Gold upon the ocean waves
With the golden sand beneath me

I lay upon the beach
Watching the sky lighten
As I lay dying
On this side of paradise
