Poem inspired after walking through Fisher Towers near Moab, Utah.
The searing soaring red stone walls
Climb stalwart over bare breast sands
Their grandeur claims they never fall
Sentinel guardians of the long sere land

But ever ever year’s dense dunes
Loft skywards crystals on devil dust hands
And slowly slowly melt and ruin
Then mire and meld as desert sands
