Isaiah was inspired to document the words according to Isaiah 53.
To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He that protects us and forms a human shield.

A man of suffering, and familiar with pain;
he was despised and rejected all the same.

Like one from whom people hide their faces;
he was despised as no one embraces.

Surely he bore our suffering;
and went through the testing.

He was crushed for our iniquities;
and we are healed of infirmities.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray;
each of us has turned to our own way.

Laid on him was the iniquity of us all thereafter;
and was led like a lamb to the slaughter.

By oppression he was taken away;
was cut off from the land of the living to pay;

Though he was punished and left to perish;
his love for us, will always be cherished.
