A cute poem about the silliness of love.
Love is amusing. It’s playful and silly
Spinning you round until you get dizzy
Dating and texting, a few awkward kisses
Declaring your love with some hits and some misses

It’s joyful, uncertain. It’s hard and it’s soft
Lows like a basement and highs like a loft
Fast like a cheetah or slow like a sloth
Sometimes you fall in it and dust yourself off

Sometimes it’s frigid and sometimes too hot
Sometimes you’re too timid to give it a shot
Sometimes it’s rainbows and sunshine and candy
But can be tornados, all bitter and sandy

Sometimes you don’t see it right under your nose
Sometimes you dive in and learn as you go
Love is a paradox, a mysterious quest
It can feel like cloud 9 or a pass or fail test

What I know for sure is that Love’s hard to measure
But worth all the risk and something to treasure
