A struggle to maintain dignity in the face of lies
It hurts; can't stop crying.
Can't breathe; can't function.
I dare not show my pain;
Retaliation's in vain.

It doesn't end, this battle.
I fight even life.
I'm tired; I'm scared.
Yet still I fight.

I care not for words used;
It matters little t'me.
I care not for this life.
Yet still I fight.

I matter; I have survived.
They laugh and care little.
They talk and always add.
Yet still I fight.

I dare not surrender
As I've done in the past.
They win once I do that.
I will not allow that.

My weapon, invisible;
My armour, nonexistent.
My allies, only one.
Yet still I fight.
