A witty play on words about a woman betrayed and forgotten
Marred and scarred by the maladies
From the countless trauma and tragedies

Wrought in her life were trouble and strife

Oh the struggles, woe the pain'
For she had no ally, nor alliance n'er a friend to help her sustain

Fraught with futile fury was the frivolous act that upon her unfolded
That deed was devious the deed was harsh, the most vile ever beholden

Henceforth, her heart will no longer beat for heavy is the load
Love lost its luminous luster, and her heart shall retreat to an ever lovely abode

Vigorously you carried on, whilst vindication she sought not
She slowly slipped away into the forgotten shadows, the lovely woman you forgot

Painted pictures, happy poses. Alive was once her scene
But hypocrisy has robbed her blind and she dare not hate, she abhors the obscene

Fare the well, good night, I bid you goodybe, upon my pillow riddled with tears
This night like many nights I escape into slumber where my hope is that love will appear
