A group of military unit androids embark on what would be their final mission.
The hot, beating sun shined down on the four walking figures in the forest. They walked as if they were carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders; as if it physically hurt them to walk any further than they had. Even for androids, the work they were put through was taxing, and even seemed damn near impossible for them to complete. Yet, they always did. They were always eager to please their superiors; whether it be by cleaning their quarters as thoroughly as possible or completing their missions as efficiently and quickly as possible. They were desperate, alright. Desperate to not be thrown out and considered useless. They were meant to serve and if they were a fuck up, then what were they around for? They were here to serve the humans and do what they were to bothered to do. From simple things such as cleaning or babysitting, or killing other humans and androids alike under the orders and promises it was for the "greater good", or to protect the good people they were meant to serve.

The greater good. That was something that would make even an emotionless android let out a quiet chuckle. Was there even such thing as something like the greater good?

"God, this fucking sucks!" a tired voice broke the painful silence of the group. The android sounded absolutely exhausted and frustrated. There was a million things they could be doing right now, but instead they're stuck patrolling the forest, searching for any enemy troops. It was a simple job, yet it was painfully tedious and uncomfortable. "If we were humans, we would probably be dead!"

"Then let's count our blessings and thank the good lord we're not humans, Katherine." Noni spoke out, her voice taking an almost parental tone. Noni was the best fighting unit they had, somehow seeming incapable of ever taking any type of beating or loss. She was also the strictest out of the unit, never leaving any room for disrespect or thoughts of ditching. That had been an increasing problem lately. Androids ditching their units and never being seen again. It was a mystery as to say the least, after all they were made to serve humans and follow their orders, so why disobey? Yet, there was hardly any androids in the military that could say they haven't considered it at all. That would include even Noni.

"Mmm, would you two quiet down? It's like you;re just begging for an enemy to know our position." Another voice chimed in. Noni couldn't help but roll her eyes, along with Katherine. Giselle. Nobody had exactly asked her opinion, yet she could never help herself from chiming in on matters that nobody wanted her involved in. She was a bitch to put it simply. A bitch that nobody liked and honestly wouldn't mind if she mysteriously disappeared one day.

"Right, sorry. I forgot we all must live to appease our goddess, Giselle. May we all bow down in her damn presence." Noni said, crossing her arms. An argument was beginning to brew, the tensions rising even more. Maybe it was the fact that all of them were just about ready to cut their own circuits, but Noni and Giselle were just about ready to leap to each other's throats and duke it out right there at that very moment.

"Watch yourself, A9. This just might be your final mission." Katherine said, using Noni's designation number rather than her actual name given to her by her comrades.

"It's Noni." She said, her voice taking on a dangerous tone. "Maybe your memory chip is too damaged for you to remember that. Want me to pry it out of your damn head and take a look at it?" She threatened, brandishing her knife from its sheath.

"Oh, I'd like to see you try. They would have to throw your useless ass body out once I'm done with yo-"

"Guys, please. Let's not fight." A soft voice spoke out. All eyes flew over to the final member of the group. May; quite possible the softest member in the group. She always took care of everyone and broke up any fights that may have been happening. She always detested violence and fighting, which was quite odd considering she was made to fight.
